How much does a chimney sweep cost in the Region?
Our chimney sweep is $249 flat and includes a 21-point safety inspection, for wood or gas. A Level 1 inspection is free, and a Level 2 camera inspection is $199. Repair estimates are free, photographed, and quoted as one flat price before any work begins.
When should I book a sweep before winter?
Early fall is the sweet spot. By November, the first cold snaps off Lake Michigan send most of the Region to its fireplaces at once and schedules fill. If you burn wood regularly, a sweep before the season — and an inspection every year — is what NFPA 211 recommends.
Do you work on gas fireplaces and inserts?
Yes. We service gas fireplaces, inserts and log sets — pilots that won't stay lit, valves, thermocouples, blowers and glass — and every gas visit ends with a burn test and a carbon monoxide check. If you smell gas, leave the house first and call your gas utility, then call us.
Will the sweep leave a mess in my house?
It shouldn't leave any. The technician lays drop cloths from your door to the hearth, seals the firebox opening and runs a HEPA-filtered vacuum for the whole job, so the soot ends up in the machine instead of your living room.
